UK is donating 415,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines to Cambodia through a bilateral agreement
On 29 July 2021, British Embassy in Cambodia issued a press release on UK is donating 415,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines to Cambodia through a bilateral agreement.
The UK will this week begin delivering nine million COVID-19 vaccines around the world, including to Cambodia, to help tackle the pandemic. Five million dosed are being offered to COVAX, the scheme to ensure equitable, global access to COVID-19 vaccines. Another four million doses will be shared directly with countries in need. Cambodia will receive 415,000 doses along with other countries. The Prime Minister pledged at last month’s G7 that the UK would provide first tranche of 100 million vaccines within the next year.
