Cambodia’s Trade Grows By 15 Percent

Cambodia’s total trade volume grew 15.41 percent to reach$7.46 billion in the first seven months compared to the same period last year, according to data released yesterday by the Ministry of Commerce. Revenues earned through exports reached $2.9 billion, an increase of 11.82 percent compared to the same period last year, with garment exports still comprising a majority at 84.47 percent, or $2.51 billion, of total exports, according to the data. Growth was also seen in exports of milled rice and cassava. … On the import side, Cambodia spent $4.48 billion from January through July, an 18.39 percent increase year-on-year, according to the data. …
