Cambodia’s trade with foreign countries up 25 pct in four months

Cambodia’s trade volume with foreign countries had reached 5.12 billion U.S. dollars in the first four months of this year, a 25 percent rise compared with 4.1 billion U.S. dollars over the same period last year, according to a report from the Ministry of Commerce’s Camcontrol Department on Thursday. During the January-April period this year, the country exported goods in equivalent to 2.13 billion U.S. dollars, up 28 percent. At the meantime, it imported products in the total value of 2.99 billion U.S. dollars, up 23 percent. … Last year, the country’s total trade volume was 13.63 billion U. S. dollars, up 19 percent year-on-year, according to the Commerce Ministry.
