Trade with Vietnam slows

Bilateral trade between Cambodia and neighboring Vietnam grew by 17 per cent in the first nine months of the year compared to the same period last year, a decrease from previous years, the Vietnam Trade Office in Cambodia said yesterday. … The data showed a total trade volume worth US$2.452 billion on the exchange between January to the end of September, compared to $2.096 billion in the same period last year – an increase of 17 per cent. … Tran Tu, trade attaché for the Vietnam Trade Office in Cambodia, said the slower growth of imports and exports between the two countries was due to a decline in demand as a result of the economic situation between the two countries, as well as the global economy.  …
